Reducing Waste and Recycling at Rotel
Rotel is 51-room motel beside CHEO that provides affordable accommodation to out-patients as well as families and friends visiting patients in Ottawa hospitals. Rotel’s operations are self-sustaining, however it relies on fundraising to help pay for upgrades and major projects. One project that the Rotary Club Ottawa South (RCOS) is assisting with is a recycling and Waste management program.
In its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint, Rotel is working to reduce its waste and recycle as much as possible. The RCOS Environment Committee is assisting with the research and planning for the new program and RCOS is raising funds to help fund the implementation.
