Launch at Happy Goat Coffee Company
It was a warm and wonderful launch for a delicious coffee and effective fundraising program. Many Rotarians came out to enjoy a cup of Community Blend coffee and sample some delicious baked goods at the Happy Goat Laurel Street café. District 7040 Governor Fay Campbell spoke about Rotary’s commitment to community service and camaraderie of working together. She felt that coffee was a terrific fundraising idea and catalyst to bring people together.
Happy Goat Coffee Company (HGCC) President Henry Assad expressed his support for the program and belief that small business should work hand-in-hand with the communities they serve.
HGCC Roasters Hans Jurgen Langenbahn and Josh Greenwald talked about the process of creating Community Blend coffee, and of the family farms in Nicaragua and Brazil that provide the raw beans.
